Our Story
There's a beautiful mystery to love, and ours is no exception. Laura and Christer's story began long before they even knew it, in the bustling hallways of the American School of Warsaw. It was there, amid textbooks and teenage dreams, where they first crossed paths. Laura was a beacon of kindness, a friend to Christer's sister, Athena, who years later would give Christer the reassurance he needed to ask Laura out.
That fateful day arrived on the 6th of January, 2023, amidst the cozy ambiance of Lane's Bar at the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw. They locked eyes, and in that moment, the past faded, and the present held a promise of something extraordinary. There was no turning back; their hearts had spoken, they were inseparable.
Even when Laura ventured on a skiing trip, their bond didn't falter but grew stronger. The distance only made their hearts grow fonder as they stayed connected through text, Facetime, and constant contact. Their connection was so palpable that even Laura's friends on the trip felt as if Christer was right there with them, a testament to their inseparability.
The second date on the 15th of January was a tender affirmation of their blossoming relationship. Laura, moments before their first kiss, aptly summed it up: "Okay, so this is happening." That was the moment their individual journeys merged into one.
Together, they charted the map of their shared adventures, leaving footprints in, among others, Berlin, London, Copenhagen, and Landskrona. The people who filled their lives began to blend into one big family, as both their friend circles and families fell in love with the love they shared.
The 16th of May marked the day when Christer, armed with a soulful soundtrack from Laura's favourite Swedish artist, Benjamin Ingrosso, and a romantic setting sprinkled with rose petals, asked Laura to be his forever. With 50 roses as silent witnesses, she said yes, marking the beginning of their beautiful forever.
Recognising that age is just a number when it comes to love, they decided not to wait another year. They are making 2023 their year, a year to celebrate their journey, solidify their bond, and set forth on a lifelong adventure of togetherness and love.
